Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University
Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University is one of the youngest universities in Ukraine. However, it is developing very fast and is a striking example of quality education (the 40th position in the annual university ranking UNESCO project «Top-200 Ukraine» and the 5th place among the best universities in the Southern region). PMBSSU is the only institution which represents Ukraine and its higher education system on the Conference of the Talloires Network leaders.
According to the international rating of top 200 Ukrainian universities compiled by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University was recognized as the best university in Mykolayiv region each year. In 2016, according to results of this rating, the university took the 16th place among 200 the best Ukrainian universities.
University’s vision of international cooperation recognizes participation in the international educational exchange programs as an opportunity to provide additional qualification and knowledge to our students and to increase the scientific level of our professors as well.
NATIONAL AVIATION UNIVERSITY
The origin of the university dates back to aviation courses organized by Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the late XIX century; while the independent history began in 1933 by the Resolution of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR; according to it Kyiv Aviation Institute was founded at the aviation department of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Later its name was being changed many times: Kyiv Institute of Civil Aviation (1947), Kyiv Institute of Civil Aviation (1965), Kyiv International University of Civil Aviation (1994), National Aviation University (2000).
For almost 80 years of its history more than 200,000 highly skilled professionals has been trained in this higher aviation educational institution. Among them there are well-known scientists, heads of aviation companies, enterprises, organizations and institutions that provide aircraft flights, their maintenance and repair, transportation of passengers and cargo.
Sumy State University
Sumy State University (SSU) conducts training on 59 specialties of 36 areas and 23 fields of knowledge (computer science; informatics; applied mathematics; mechanics; automatics and controlling; electronics; nanotechnology; electrical engineering; energetics; mechanical engineering; materials science; chemical engineering; ecology; quality, standardization, certification; economics and business; management; medicine; law; journalism; translation etc. )
About 22 thousand people are getting their education on different studying forms, educational and qualified levels.
According to the worldwide Internet rating Webometrics SSU takes 3rd position among Ukrainian institutes of higher education (in January, 2017).
The university takes high positions among Ukrainian institutes of higher education for its number of prize places , that were won by SSU students in All-Ukrainian Olympiads on educational disciplines, training areas, specialties (from 2004- prize places; 2008-09 year (a. y.), 2009-10 year – the 4th place).
For its number of prize places in All- Ukrainian Competitions of students’ research works SSU takes the leading places among Ukrainian institutes of higher education (2005-06 a. y., 2007-08 a.y., 2008-09 a.y., 2009-10 a.y.- the first place, 2006-07 a.y.- the third place).
NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY KHARKIV POLYTECHNICAL INSTITUTE
Why to study in Kharkiv? Kharkiv is the second-largest city in Ukraine. Located in the north-east of the country, it is the largest city of the Slobozhanshchyna historical region. The city has a population of about 1.5 million people.
Presently, Kharkiv operates as a major cultural, scientific, educational, transport and industrial centre of Ukraine, with 60 scientific institutes, 30 higher education universities and institutions, 6 museums, 7 theatres and 80 libraries.
Kharkiv is the second biggest educational center in Ukraine and this city is known as the city of students and youth.
There are 38 higher educational institutions in Kharkiv, including state and private universities, academies and specialized institutes. About 300 000 students study and live in Kharkiv and about 12 000 out of them are foreign students. Higher education possibilities are very versatile in Kharkiv and students can get bachelor, specialist, master or post-graduate degree training in various fields of studies, such as medicine, engineering, law art etc.
The most popular landmark of Kharkiv is the Freedom Square (Ploshcha Svobody), the third largest city square in Europe, and it takes the 7th place when speaking about the world.
NATIONAL AEROSPACE UNIVERSITY KHARKIV AVIATION INSTITUTE
The NAU KhAI is unique higher educational institution where the airplanes developed by the Institute Design Bureau under the supervision of Professor I. G. Neman were produced serially at the aircraft plants and run on passenger airlines.
From 1977 to 1984 the Designer General O.K. Antonov run the department of airplane structure at the KhAI.
In 1978 the KhAI was given the name of N. Ye. Zhukovskiy. In 1980 the Institute was awarded with the order of Lenin. In 1998 the N. Ye. Zhukovskiy State Aerospace University “Kharkov Aviation Institute” was founded on the basis of the KhAI and in 2000 the University got a status of the National higher educational institution and got a name of the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute".
During the period of its existence the University has trained about 80 ths engineers. More than 80% of the experts with higher education who work in Ukrainian aerospace area are the graduates of the NAU KhAI.
At present about 9.5 ths students and 160 post-graduate students are trained at the University; 650 teachers and 2.5 ths employers work here.
SUMY NATIONAL AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY
Sumy National Agrarian University is a higher educational establishment with level - IV of accreditation; it is one of the best agrarian universities of Ukraine. Sumy National Agrarian University was founded in 1977; for 40 years of its existence, it has gone from Sumy branch of Kharkiv Agricultural Institute named after V.V. Dokuchaev to powerful educational establishment of national importance.
Sumy National Agrarian University trains highly qualified specialists for agriculture with profound learning of foreign languages and computer science. The structure of University includes 8 faculties, one Institute and five colleges.
Nowadays large agricultural joint-stock companies and processing enterprises of Ukraine need highly-qualified specialists, capable to work on the new technologies. Students of Sumy National Agrarian University get theoretical knowledge and use it in practice in leading agricultural enterprises of Ukraine and foreign countries with which University cooperates.
